Dr. John McLaren
Raised in Ann Arbor, Dr. John McLaren earned his B.S.E. in Materials Science and Engineering, summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan, then his D.D.S. from the U-M School of Dentistry in 2000 — graduating second in his class and inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon honor society. In 2003 he completed a three-year Master of Science in Restorative Dentistry, a specialization held by fewer than 1% of U.S. dentists. He serves as an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor in the U-M School of Dentistry, Department of Cariology, Restorative Sciences, and Endodontics, and since 2008 as a Senior Clinical Consultant for The Dental Advisor. A National Board Certified dentist, Dr. McLaren co-owns several Michigan dental practices, including Signature Dental in Bay City, along with locations in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Belleville, and Midland. With more than 20 years of Invisalign experience, he is an Invisalign-certified Blue Diamond provider — the top 1% nationally and one of only two general dentists in Michigan with the designation. His expertise spans general, orthodontic, cosmetic, and implant dentistry, guided by a conservative, evidence-based philosophy that helps patients preserve their natural tooth structure.
Dr. Charles McLaren
Dr. Charles McLaren grew up in Ann Arbor and earned his bachelor's in Materials Science and Engineering, his D.D.S., and his master's in Restorative Dentistry, all from the University of Michigan. From 2000 to 2005 he taught pre-clinical dentistry, oral medicine and diagnosis, and clinical dentistry at U-M as an Adjunct Clinical Lecturer and later Adjunct Assistant Clinical Professor. For more than two decades he has worked with The Dental Advisor as an associate editor, contributing author, and senior clinical consultant, and he has published research in the Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, the Journal of Prosthetic Dentistry, and other journals, reviewed manuscripts for the Journal of Dentistry, and presented at the International Association for Dental Research and the Academy of Operative Dentistry. His clinical interests include cosmetic dentistry, all-ceramic restorations, and full-mouth rehabilitation. Dr. Charles is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and Saginaw Valley District Dental Society, and holds memberships in Omicron Kappa Upsilon (national dental honor society), Tau Beta Pi (engineering), and Alpha Sigma Mu (materials science). He has practiced in Saginaw, Bay City, and Midland since 2003. He and his wife, Beth, have two sons, Ian and Anson. In his free time he enjoys classical music, golf, art projects, and traveling with his family.

Dr. Melissa Janos brings warmth and meticulous attention to every appointment. Her background in both general and cosmetic dentistry means she can address everything from routine cleanings to complete smile transformations. Patients consistently note her gentle touch and thorough explanations.
Dr. Devan Moody
Dr. Devan Moody is known for creating a comfortable, anxiety-free environment for patients of all ages.
